Pure Development breaks ground on BMW’s Southern Region Training Center

College Park, GA (August 31, 2017)—Pure Development officially broke ground on a build-to-suit automotive training facility for BMW of North America, LLC.

Strategically located adjacent to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Georgia International Convention Center, the 53,000-square-foot facility will offer direct access to the airport terminal and is expected to make it possible for BMW North America to train an estimated 10,000-plus dealership personnel each year.

Pure Development has enlisted CSO Architects and McShane Construction Company on the design and construction of the project. The training center’s modern design will feature glass, metal panel and concrete wall construction that includes several classroom and workshop areas, as well as special tools and administrative areas. In addition, unique to the facility will be a central “Main Street Corridor,” bisecting the length of the building with a high-roof clearance accommodating traffic flow from workshops to secured parking areas.

Construction of the training facility is expected to be complete by May 2018, with BMW beginning operations at the facility shortly after.
